Whitening

When you ask people what they would like to do most to change their smile, most often the answer is the whitening. A white smile looks beautiful, healthy and can help restore your confidence. With modern day teeth whitening technologies, you don’t have to be famous to have celebrity-white teeth. At our office, we can make your teeth shades whiter in just one treatment.

What causes tooth discoloration?

If your teeth are yellowed or generally discolored, it is completely normal. A lot of factors can cause your teeth to lose their white shine over time. For instance, many of the foods you eat and drink regularly can have a staining effect on your teeth. Common drinks, such as coffee and wine, can cause your teeth to look yellow. Tobacco use can also greatly contribute to discolored teeth. Naturally, as we get older, our teeth can begin to lose their color. These causes of discoloration are typical, and luckily, reversible.

What is teeth whitening?

Teeth whitening uses a bleaching agent to help restore the white color of your teeth. This agent goes deep within your tooth to whiten discolored particles from the inside out. Teeth whitening is safe, quick, and effective, resulting in teeth up to six shades whiter in as little as one treatment.

What are my teeth whitening options?

Your two main options for teeth whitening are in-office procedures and take-home whitening kits. Our in-office procedure is the more effective option and involves our staff using the Boost bleaching agent on your teeth. Take-home whitening kits use custom made mouthguards to hold whitening gel on your teeth, and require a few treatments before showing dramatic results.

Am I a good candidate for teeth whitening?

Anyone who is in generally good oral health is a good candidate for teeth whitening. If you have poor or severely eroded enamel, however, it may be suggested you avoid the procedure.

Bright, white teeth can leave you feeling and looking your very best, giving you back a smile that you are proud to show off to the world. If you want to learn more about teeth whitening or are ready to take the plunge to get the smile that you have always wanted, call our office today.
